Paris is a forest of advertisements, not only in shop windows, but on kiosks, bus stops and lampposts: seductive, polished images offering us beauty and luxury to promote the products they're trying to sell. The images in Fantasmes Parisiens fuse the images in the advertisements with the reflections that fall on them, giving way to dreamlike images where branches are extensions of eyebrows, foreheads are urban landscapes, blending the discordant distance between retouched beauty and street reality.
